Served with gravy and mashed potatoes, chicken-fried steak is as American as apple pie. In Noble, Kendall’s Restaurant has been chicken-frying steaks for over three decades. It has been around for three different locations, and the reputation for crisp-on-the-outside, juicy steaks has held up well through the years. A hubcap-sized tender round steak is served with gravy and mashed potatoes, and it may even come with fried okra.

Tulsa’s Farmers Public Market district

If you’re looking for a fun and healthy way to spend your Saturday morning, check out Tulsa’s Farmers Public Market. Located at 1st and Lewis in the Kendall-Whittier District, the Tulsa Farmers’ Market is the largest in the state. It celebrates 25 years of community service this year. Open every Saturday, March through October, the Tulsa Farmers’ Market is a great place to buy local products. And, while you’re there, don’t forget to visit the new market on Sunday!

If you’re looking for a memorable night out, you’ve probably heard of Eskimo Joe’s in Oklahoma. This bar is a classic hangout and famous for serving arctic-cold brews. However, you’ve probably also heard about its incredibly delicious cheese fries, which come in two indulgent varieties. The cheese fries are so delicious that they’ve even been featured on Food Network’s Unwrapped! And if you’re feeling generous, you can purchase one of their shirts.

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in the heart of Oklahoma City is a classic American restaurant with an interesting history. The restaurant has served cowboys, rodeo stars, and even presidents. Owner Hank Fry, a seasoned gambler, decided to risk his life savings on Cattlemen’s in exchange for a chance to win his life’s savings in a hard-six casino. As luck would have it, he won.

Click’s

Located in Pawnee, Oklahoma, Click’s Steakhouse is a family-run restaurant with a rich history. Founded in 1962, this restaurant serves some of Oklahoma’s best steaks. Although off the beaten path, it’s worth the trip. You can find many great choices here for a great meal. If you’re traveling to the area, make sure you stop in at Click’s Steakhouse.

Grey Sweater

Andrew Black is the co-founder of Culinary Edge Concepts in Oklahoma City, which operates three restaurants, including Grey Sweater. The name of the restaurant is unique because it’s the first in the city to offer a tasting menu. Black has lived in Paris, Jamaica, and Memphis, and has been a chef in many cities. He plans to open two more restaurants in Oklahoma City before the year is out.
